One of the best vegetarian Indian food in Charlotte area! They went out of their way to customize dishes to accommodate Jain restrictions of onion and garlic and still dished out some of the best tasting paneer fare. The menu has a variety of dishes to suit every palate!

The catering service from Charminar Desi Adda is fantastic, and our office will definitely order from them again. Here are more details about our experience. Event: this is a Diwali celebration event from 9:00am to 11:00am for 100 people. Menu: the owner is very nicely offering his recommendation for the menu, and hear us out for any changes/updates to fit our needs. He is super patient to work with us, and treat our party as his own. We are happily to take Rava Upma, Sweet Pongal, Vada, Idly, Sambar, and Chutney. This is a very well designed menu with great combination for such a great celebration. Days before the event: the owner will double check with us for the final menu, service details, and any concerns/questions we have. Super cares about us, and it is so sweet. On the day of the event: food is always the most important factor to get people happy for any event, and everyone from our office loved the food and we really appreciated Charminar Desi Adda and the owner and the staff for their high standard/yammy/tasty food for us! We are looking forward to next celebration with Charminar Desi Adda! ps, I should take more pictures of the food and will do for sure next time!

We had a Large Indian buffet and every dish was delicious! The guys that work here are very nice too and we had very good service. Best Indian buffet in area! I loved the chicken rice dishes especially, the vegetarian dishes and the green cardamon dessert with rose water on the side. This will be my and my boyfriends go to place for Indian food!

We ordered a chicken Mandi here, Comes with Fish fry, Shrimp or Chicken fry with delicious rice topped with Nuts & 2 drinks Food taste is very good & quality is . 4 people can eat good enough. Service here is excellent, Restaurant is clean & decent to spend time with friends & family. Parking is convenient & free. Worthy if we visit in group.

Authentic food, generous portions, perfect spice level and everything came within 15 minutes. Very good atmosphere, and chef Roch provided excellent service. I've tried a variety of dishes for both dine in and takeout and not been disappointed! They very sweetly provided dessert for a special occasion as well.

Lunch Buffet every weekend Saturdays and Sundays 11:30am-2pm. I believe they also have a breakfast buffet earlier in the morning those days as well. Authentic, flavorful and savory food. I bring all my friends here. It’s a great way to try a variety of different items as you’re bound to like one. Both meat and vegetarian options. My go to is the chicken tikka masala with rice and naan bread. In house drinks are also made for an extra cost, they have Mango Lassi and Rose milk to order. If you are sensitive to any spice these drinks can help. Week days and after buffet hours they offer regular menu as well as catering and desserts. Only Indian Buffet in Ballantyne.

We don’t live in the area but after discovering this gem we made a trip from where we were today to dine again. Being from the U.K. we love Indian and spicy food and this is the most authentic we have found here. When it comes to spice level it is different for every dish which shows the chef doesn’t westernise it by making it bland or so spicy it ruins the dish. The winner tonight was the Karampodi fish - the disagreement over not ordering chicken or the usual chicken 65 ended with the first bite. The flavour was absolutely bursting from the dish and the fish was cooked to flaky perfection. Honestly one of the best dishes I have ever had from an Indian and I grew up having Indian at least once or twice a month. The service is so friendly it is on such a different, warm, level. Yet again we ordered a family biryani to go for the rest of the family. The portion is generous and it is such an easy takeaway dinner option (and you can’t beat the price) seems like others had the same idea We plan on returning in a few weeks to try the buffet because the variety of non regular curry options has to be tried imo. Go and wake your taste buds up ;)
